Meet your educator
Hi, I’m
Kristi-Mari.
Kristi-Mari Fedorko-Bartos
I’m an Alberta-certified teacher and PhD candidate at the University of Calgary. For more than a decade, I’ve helped students make sense of challenging work, express their ideas and grow more confident in their learning.
My teaching experience includes Alberta schools and one of the province’s top-ranked schools. That classroom perspective brings informed knowledge of Alberta curriculum and assessment expectations to each learner’s support.

Helping students feel understood, challenged and ready to take the next step.
Experience that informs the teaching
A thoughtful approach.
A strong foundation.
My background in language, education and the Learning Sciences shapes how I teach. I get to know the learner, build on their strengths and make the next step clear. We explore ideas together, practise with feedback and work toward applying those skills independently.

Learning in a changing world
New tools.
Independent thinking.
My doctoral research explores digital literacy in the age of AI. It informs the tutoring as a whole: helping students question sources, explain their reasoning and develop their own voice. I teach and guide every session, with tools chosen thoughtfully for the learner and the task.
I also contribute to academic conversations about teaching and learning, including editorial work with the University of Calgary’s Papers on Postsecondary Learning and Teaching.
